Movers & Shakers by SeniorFITness keeps lots of people exercising regularly and enjoying the benefits of improved function. It is managed by Alliance Rehab and staffed by a certified Fitness Instructor. The program – either land- or aquatic-based – is a group circuit-training workout using small training tools, such as balls, bands, and hand weights. The program features strength-conditioning, balance, flexibility and cardio-respiratory movement.
The land version of Movers and Shakers can be done “in your seat or on your feet” to accommodate a variety of fitness levels. The aquatic version may be performed in a variety of pool settings, in either a freestanding or supportive environment. Participants are led through a specific workout routine designed to provide progressive resistance in a fun and musical atmosphere. New workout routines are provided on a regular basis to stimulate participant enthusiasm and motivation.
